On June 10, CNC postdoctoral associate Dr. Katharina Koch led a discussion session for The Arctic Institute’s first ever conference, “Polar (In)Securities: The Future of Global Affairs in the Circumpolar North.” Dr. Koch hosted speakers Dr. P. Whitney Lackenbauer, Dr. Nathan Debortoli, and Dr. Steven Vamosi to discuss the multi-faceted considerations of Arctic security in the context of infrastructure development in the Canadian North.

CONFERENCE: Polar (In)Securities - The Future of Global Affairs in the Circumpolar North

The Arctic Institute (TAI) Centre for Circumpolar Securities Studies is launching their first-ever conference Polar Insecurities: The future of global affairs in the circumpolar north, where they ask: “How will global developments affect the circumpolar north?” from June 8-10, 2022.
